As I re-read a text message I’d just sent about the upcoming Lunar Eclipse (April 25/26) I had to have a little chuckle. Instead of saying ‘good time for inner healing’, the auto spell-check had changed it to ‘god time for inner healing.’ Indeed it is. We are less than 24 hours from our first LUNAR ECLIPSE of the year, in early SCORPIO (musings on that a little later) and the MOON is now VOC in LIBRA, the sign of Justice, Peace and Balance. And the Moons current ruler, VENUS, is separating from a square to PLUTO and building a sextile to CHIRON in PISCES, while the SUN has exacted his sextile to Pisces ruler NEPTUNE and is slowly separating. And so, the astrological skies once again build the most synchronistic background to a day commemorated in Australia and New Zealand as ANZAC DAY. Venus/Chiron in this aspect, with Venus super strong in Taurus, is about attending to and healing wounds around the heart and around the body. It is about acknowledging an achilles heel - and it is about forgiving. In Taurus, one rarely forgets - but forgiving is possible. Quite perfect energy for today in Oz - and I must admit to a few tears every year on Anzac Day, today included, when I think about and give thanks to the many valiant people who fought for this country, many of them not returning. I thank them for my opportunities today, I thank them for my lifestyle today, I thank them for the freedoms I enjoy today. For mine, today in Australia and New Zealand is not about remembering war, but about honouring people who made the ultimate sacrifice for this country.
