Marathons

I read in Venus and Mars on a Date or in Why Venus and Mars collide that when in a relationship, be willing to run a marathon, not just go for a short sprint. That means slow and steady wins the race - or something like that.

Wish Imran had been open to doing that - *sigh*

New guy, funny guy, from Birmingham. I had visited his profile last week and laughed a lot and had even spoken about his profile for 5 minutes to Sarah last week. She told me to contact him. I told her I don't want to move to from London, he's Khoja and he wants chidlren, lives with his family, mentioned his parents in his profile and is younger than I am (he's actually 27 - must be a funky head day)

Good news is that he saw I had looked at his profile and has the £40 membership and messaged me on Saturday :)

(Jesus - what the hell? Why am I not talking about God or work? Boys, boys, boys - argh!!!)

I changed my profile on Friday night/Saturday morning in one of my moods of panic and frustration.

Took out my stuff in order to fit in the new stuff (word limits)

Phoenix rising from the ashes / J'suis qui j'suis / Cow say "Moo!""
A few words about me
Profile temporarily suspended because I just remembered how much hate doing this :P

Also, I don't have a Diamond account and so I can't initiate messages :P which is highly frustrating :)

I still don't think I am ready - just not interested or motivated - and feel kinda overwhelmed - which begs the question: when in the good Lord's name will I be ready and comfortable doing this?!

They say God made us in pairs - don't pairs usually find it easier to find one another? Like shoes, socks and gloves - they make more sense together than apart, n'est-ce pas? *thinks of the string that connects kids' gloves together so they don't lose them and chuckles*

He should have put in a homing device or something :P

I mean - how difficult is it for us to find the right person for us? How does one know? And I'm changing so much spiritually and psychologically that I don't even know who I am anymore!!!

And we don't have just one soul mate, we have scores! You won't marry all of them, will you? You'll have a connection with each of them: so how the * can you tell who's the most compatible for you in this lifetime and for the long haul?!

ARGH! ARGH! ARGH!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr *is grumpy*

Maybe I should get out more often and meet and find someone in the real world :P

Or get a cat menagerie :D Hmm - I'll do that even when I finally do get married :D

Yup - I'm the quintessential cat lady :)

*End of rant*

I'll reactivate and repost my info after having a good talking to myself :)

Shouldn't take too long - I'm quite charming and convincing in my arguments ;)

Hmmmm - I wonder what I still need to learn :)

What i am looking for
You need to love to cook, because I sure don't :) Unless you're good at surviving on tins of soup and fruit and fish and chips and herbal tea :)

Someone living in the UK - preferably in London - I don't see myself moving away after fighting tooth and nail to come back to London after yonks - I fit here better than any other place I've been - having said that, I realise that's a limiting belief (Energetic NLP term) and so I retract that! :) But I really do love London :)

The Soul Mate

People think a soul mate is your perfect fit
and that's what everyone wants.

But a true soul mate is a mirror,
The person who shows you everything that is holding you back,
The person who brings you to your own attention
so you can change your life.

A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet
Because they tear down your walls and smack you awake.

A soul mate's purpose is to shake you up,
tear apart your ego a little bit,
show you your obstacles and addictions,
break your heart open so new light can get in,
make you so out of control,
that you want to transform your life.
~ Elizabeth Gilbert

O God,
I ask from Thee the best in Thy knowledge,
so bless Muhammad and his Household
and decree for me the best!

My friends would describe me as
Crazy, Easygoing, Funny
Salaam alaykum
I am not sure how to describe myself, so here goes, i like doing stuff it doesnt always matter what that stuff is but i ilke doing it.

I like socialising with friends and going to mosque and going out. I already realise that my statements are sounding very generic but what can you do. My aim in life is to become a better person, i want to do this through enjoying life and enjoying what i have around me. i enjoy holidays and although i like telling people i travel round the whole world, i usually end up in ziaraat destinations. If God gives me the chance i want to keep going my whole life. In terms of religion i dont think i am as good a muslim as i should be, i try to do good and stay away from bad, and i will keep doing this till the end of my life. I love going to the mosque but i can be so much better.

I like sports watching but now playing a lot more,( maybe the lack of wife has motivated me to be more athletic). i can run at most 3 minutes until i collapse but yet i have signed up for a marathon next year. this is a problem of mine i sy yes to a lot of things and then let the consequences happen. I may not be able to change this attribute as i love what comes about through this.

back to my job i love it i teach primary children and this is because we are about the same mental level. I tell them off for putting their feet on the furniture and then do the same 10 minutes later in the staffroom. I make no apologies for saying my family is too important to me, my mum and dad believe it or not raised me and i owe them too much, so while i am here or they are here they will always be close to me, and this inshallah will never change. oh yeah and to satisfy the normal profiles that your supposed to put, i am smart, confident, easy going blah blah blah. I dont have a clue what they are suppossed to mean.
What I am looking for

someone who is a good person, who cares about others someone who will help me become better, and someone who is tolerant. but most importantly someone who will laugh at my jokes even if it is out of politeness

And his message to me made me laugh so much! I love the man-boys who make me laugh - Imran made me laugh :) *sigh*

Actually, it's a good thing that Hussein has sent this message to me when he has - I'd be pining away for Imran again today *sigh* Not that I'm not still doing that :P - honesty is the best policy, folks! Especially with oneself...

Anyway:

salaam alaykum

looked at your profile and enjoyed reading it, i live in birmingham which is probably too far away from you, so thats that then.

however i wanted to know what a cat menagerie is, anyway looked it up on google, and seems strange. also it said that it can hold upto 15 cats if i have that right, now how is it possible to feed that many cats. I had to look after my sister once for a week and i reckon she lost half a stone due to malnourishment.

that was a joke by the way, i really do know waht a cat menagerie is.

Wassalaam Hussein,

Pray, continue - Brum's only 2 hours away from London and exceptions can be made for marathon-running primary school teachers with a VGSOH :)

I don’t usually stay up this late: I couldn’t sleep and had to get up and Google “cat menagerie” myself - not quite what I had in mind *smacks head*

That’ll teach me to pretend to be so cool and witty and change my profile at this time of night :)

Have a great day at school and keep your feet off the furniture, young lad!

Sukaina :):)

P.S. A photo of you would be great - what is with you males and no profile photos? :P

No expectations for real this time - he is still Khoja and religious and accultured he wants kids, lives with parents and hasn't read my real profile yet (or my blog). I'll be sending that forthwith - the real profile, not the blog! I no longer inflcit my words on people - learnt my lesson with Imran - see, he's taught me SO EFFING MUCH!

*Suki misses Imran*

And he's so lazy he doesn't proofread his profile or emails :P Or even use capital letters *shakes head* I guess that's why he's good at primary school teaching :) Oh, and he spells his name as Hussein and not Hussain or Hussayn (don't ask me why I like the latter better - I just do!) But I do love that name :)

He'd be an amazingly funny and cool person to talk to via FB :) Oh, yes, I am so adding him :)

Hope I can keep my FB beau-friends this time :P

I'm aiming to get my list to 100 FB friends of real people, fun people and people who lift me up :)

*Suki starts running her marathon extremely carefully and slowly and with her eyes and heart wide open and a big smile on her face and a sexy bum shake ;-) *

P.S. Ashiya, I truly love you <3

P.P.S. Madihu, I love you truly too <3

May Allah truly bless the both of you in ways you never even dreamed possible or thought to ask for!

Have no idea why tears are coming to my eyes now, must be releasing energies again!

The parents

Your Type Four EnneaThought for January 13th— Reflect on your childhood today. As a child, did you believe you were not like your parents? Did you feel that you were not "seen" by your parents and that you did not connect sufficiently with your parents? As an adult, what does this have to do with you now? (The Wisdom of the Enneagram, 182) As I've said myriad times before, these things just slap me in the face with a wet fish most days. I suppose it makes sense that I should send Reiki healing to my relationships with my father and my mother. Haven't really done that for ages. It's too hard sometimes, I choose to ignore and avoid dealing with them mainly because these are the two people I've been connected with since birth. A lot of effort is required in order to 'let things slide'. Living with my dad is hell, and I'm co-creating it on purpose, as part of my desire to annoy, to hurt him the way he hurts me. My mum, well, I guess we'...

Je dois écrire

Je dois écrire . L'ironie est que quand j'avais le temps, je na'i pu pas fair rien . Doesn't matter, I have to write. I keep listening to poets like Keane and Travis and Darren Hayes and I'm here, with the creativity finally bursting forth again, and what's more, the joie de vivre bursting through and I'm not writing and I'm not taking pictures and I'm doing bloody cashier work at Oxfam. I am a swan, I am a seagull that glides and glides. I am the tree, the squirrel. Words are all I have to make myself different from you lot. To make myself lighter, somewhat more worthy. How low is my self esteem that I still believe those falsehoods. I just cannot find people on my wave length. It means I never shall. Or I do and because of my skin colour or because I am behind the Oxfam counter, or because I am in Morden, or London, or the UK, I shall never know. An opera singer. A person who wants to wear kurtis but is scared of going into a desi shop i...

Judgement

Tarot Card Interpretation & Meaning - (20) Judgment Introduction: Judgment can be a card about jumping to conclusions, decisions and judgments. which are too hastily made. If you are prone to such things, this is a clear signal to slow down and give things more thought and to give people "more chances." This can be a real time of spiritual awakening.           General: In general, if you are the one tending to jump to conclusions, you can put a stop to it. If others are making these kinds of decisions about you or about someone you care for, there is really very little you can do, apart from realizing that it's their problem, not yours. Health: This is an important time to let go of the past and any wrongs that you perceive were done to you, particularly if you are dealing with chronic medical issues. Letting go of your need to be right will go a long way toward helping you to feel better. Besides, if ...
