If you were to describe yourself as a pet...

...what would it be and why?

I laughed out loud with appreciation and joy when I finally got to this question on the application form.

Finally.

A job I would love to get.

Still nowhere near what I know I could do if everything fell into place in my lap, pre-ordained.

And yet... I really pray that I get this job.

Doing the best I can. Trusting in Allah... not waiting for arbitrary good times like a full moon, that was yesterday.

Just trusting in Allah that I get a job that doesn't hurt my pride or dignity or self-respect.

I'm sorry, I just don't want to be a cleaner. And I deserve what I want and why the hell can I not aim high and expect You'll give it to me?

You gave me ENLP and that was something I didn't even know to want.

You gave me Farhat Aunty who was the means for my hope and for my financial kick-start for the courses.

You brought me here to London and in a year you've granted me my sanity back.

You've given me friends when I had none.

You've made me aware of the healing abilities and the compassion I am capable of, when all of this was hidden to me and shut down and, actually, maligned and looked down upon by myself and others. Even today, the programming tells me that all of this is "not good enough".

You've given me hope that I can free myself from all of this rubbish. That I can manifest the life of my dreams, somehow. In spite of all that looks bleak.

If I have to start with a minimum wage job, please let this be the one that's perfect for me. It's only 16 hours, yet it's something more than my current situation.

Grant me my abundance and the love I so desire and the flow.... come on, Allah... PLEASE!!!

Pet Question

Question: If you were to describe yourself as a pet what would you be and why?

Answer:

I am a young female cat.

I am graceful, agile and physically fit - I like running and challenging myself to exercise my body.

I am a keen observer - I make connections and have great insight. I also have a knack for spotting opportunities for improving my life and that of others.

Life is challenging at times and I always fall on my four feet - although perhaps with one less life!

I am playful and love to be around others and to connect with friends and family.

I am charming, affectionate and have a caring, soft energy about me. I have a nurturing side that helps me to empathise and look after creatures more vulnerable than myself.

I am highly intelligent and need some alone time with my thoughts. This allows me to recharge my batteries.

I have a unique personality that allows me to adapt to various environments. I am capable of having an individual outlook on things and am frequently inspired to action.

I am contented with my life and I also look forward to finding opportunities that enhance my life and those of others.

I am intensely passionate about things that I value most. I can defend the things I value with determination.

I respond in a positive manner to praise and I like being treated with respect. This increases my desire to exceed expectations and increase my productivity.

I am loyal and authentic. A person knows where they stand with me.

I am aware of my potential and constantly strive to discover and reveal more of it.

***

Honestly, there really isn't anyone I could ask to see if I could make this better. Apart from my angels and guides, of course... they are the reason I was even aware of this job.

I followed my instincts and took a different route home, passed a pet shop, got the courage to go in and ask if they had a vacancy. The owner, Deborah was so kind and understanding - and she told me of Pets at Home in New Malden (I hadn't even thought of pet shops since last year!)... God bless you, Deborah!

Fingers are crossed. The application is filled out and triple-checked. I shall do some prayer and some stuff and send it now.

Dear God - help me... please! I ask for a job, and expect the minimum of an interview...

The parents

Your Type Four EnneaThought for January 13th— Reflect on your childhood today. As a child, did you believe you were not like your parents? Did you feel that you were not "seen" by your parents and that you did not connect sufficiently with your parents? As an adult, what does this have to do with you now? (The Wisdom of the Enneagram, 182) As I've said myriad times before, these things just slap me in the face with a wet fish most days. I suppose it makes sense that I should send Reiki healing to my relationships with my father and my mother. Haven't really done that for ages. It's too hard sometimes, I choose to ignore and avoid dealing with them mainly because these are the two people I've been connected with since birth. A lot of effort is required in order to 'let things slide'. Living with my dad is hell, and I'm co-creating it on purpose, as part of my desire to annoy, to hurt him the way he hurts me. My mum, well, I guess we'...

Je dois écrire

Je dois écrire . L'ironie est que quand j'avais le temps, je na'i pu pas fair rien . Doesn't matter, I have to write. I keep listening to poets like Keane and Travis and Darren Hayes and I'm here, with the creativity finally bursting forth again, and what's more, the joie de vivre bursting through and I'm not writing and I'm not taking pictures and I'm doing bloody cashier work at Oxfam. I am a swan, I am a seagull that glides and glides. I am the tree, the squirrel. Words are all I have to make myself different from you lot. To make myself lighter, somewhat more worthy. How low is my self esteem that I still believe those falsehoods. I just cannot find people on my wave length. It means I never shall. Or I do and because of my skin colour or because I am behind the Oxfam counter, or because I am in Morden, or London, or the UK, I shall never know. An opera singer. A person who wants to wear kurtis but is scared of going into a desi shop i...

Judgement

Tarot Card Interpretation & Meaning - (20) Judgment Introduction: Judgment can be a card about jumping to conclusions, decisions and judgments. which are too hastily made. If you are prone to such things, this is a clear signal to slow down and give things more thought and to give people "more chances." This can be a real time of spiritual awakening.           General: In general, if you are the one tending to jump to conclusions, you can put a stop to it. If others are making these kinds of decisions about you or about someone you care for, there is really very little you can do, apart from realizing that it's their problem, not yours. Health: This is an important time to let go of the past and any wrongs that you perceive were done to you, particularly if you are dealing with chronic medical issues. Letting go of your need to be right will go a long way toward helping you to feel better. Besides, if ...
