Repelling men everywhere!

And I manage to get rid of the second hot-looking, sexy man in my life.

I had my appointment with Vim today. Sigh.... Still as cute, nice and motivated.

Now he said: Well, I'll book you in for an appointment in two weeks.

And I remembered he had said a fortnight ago that he was going to sign me off his register and put me back to Dot or Dermott (who called me a silly sausage for meditating outside instead of inside so when it was time I'd be on time - long story, you know I don't cut them short, so we'll just leave it).

So, me, being the honest and upright and impulsive munh phatt person I am (HA!) said "Well, didn't you say that you were going to put me back upstairs?"

Did he look surprised? I'll pretend he was ;)

We were getting along smoothly, smiling and stuff :)

Then he said: Well, I was going to book you in to see me again in two weeks, but you're right...what do you think?"

And I couldn't say: Nahiiii! I love talking and flirting with you, you're the only guy in my life right now (apart from Umair who doesn't count - mitthu!).

So I said, "Well, it's up to you" or something random like that.

So he goes: Yeah, OK. I'll do it, is that OK?

So I go: Yeah.

And I'm thinking : Dammit, Sukaina! You and your BIG BLOODY MOUTH! In two bloody weeks, you've managed to get rid of both sexy guys in your life. ON BLOODY PURPOSE! There was no harm in staying with Vimal and flirting with him in two weeks time.

Then he comes back and does all the paper work and asks me "So, Sukaina, what are your hobbies? What do you do to keep yourself occupied?"

And of course I'm thinking: A big fat nothing. I can't tell him I like hugging trees and obsessing about Imran Lakha (and him) and that I go on Facebook like 5 hours a day or that I listen to Outlandish on CONSTANT REPLAY ALL DAY, now can I?

So I say, "Well, I jog. And do the yoga and the meditation." And for some reason, I had the urge to let him on about EFT so I say: And I've started EFT (yeah, coz that's a hobby, Sukaina! OK I just blabbing in front of a gorgeous guy. SUE ME!)

So he goes: Well, mine's swimming.

So I said: (BTW, this makes like such a shitty teenage book - I say, He says, I go - argh!) Hm, I used to swim. But I can't anymore.

He asked: Why? Are you scared? Does it scare you?

I said: No, it's because of the hijab.

He's like: Huh? OK....(clueless BBCD!) Well, you must have done it back in Pakistan, they have a different system there. I nod.

Then: I used to represent Wandsworth Council.

I say: Oh, really?

He goes: Yeah, and then it was smoking, alcohol and girls and I screwed myself over (or something like that, my memory's shit these days), Am trying to give them all up and get back into swimming now. *laughs*

So I laugh. And say: Getting rid of all the addictions. You should really try EFT then, it works. Tapping out the emotions from the body through acupressure points.

He says: Can I google it? It works? And it's not kooky stuff?

I said: It is kooky - but it works. Why do you think I'm smiling today?

He said: Oh, and here I was thinking it's because you were pleased to see me!

*squeezes eyes shut in appreciation* Nice one, mate! Oldie, but a good solid line!

So I got into flirty mode and laughed and said: Oh well, yes, my energies are up, so maybe the energies are combining and matching up, a bit of both... (OK, it wasn't as smooth as that - but he got the drift, OK!! Whaaaaaaat?!!! I'm new at this! I've lived a very sheltered life!)

Then he got all OH NO! She's actually flirting with me... nahiiiiiiii! Run away, run away!

And shifted: Well, whatever works for you. If you believe in the energy stuff..."

And then: How are you adjusting to the weather? It's different from Pakistan.

I made a face and went: Meh.... it's cold. I need to buy winter boots (YES! LOL!)

He said: Yes, same here. I find it difficult (but you were born here laddie, you've lived here your entire life, laddie! Or have you? Was I supposed to ask? Agh!)

And then finally: If you need me to do anything, a job search etc, you have my direct line. Good luck and have a good day.

Me: Thank you for everything. (zips up Roots backpack) Byeeeeeee!

Vimal: Bye, love!

Score! *grins like a smitten kitten*

I was grinning for the next 5 minutes.

Then after I did my grocery shopping and got them boots (yes, I did!) I was heading to the bus stop and saw him heading into a cafe for lunch before I could bump into him and say hi on the street.

What I should have done: gone in for a cup of tea and accidentally on purpose bump into him and chat him up and have lunch with him and made him fall head over heels for me - ha ha ha

What I actually did: Go: Oh, I wish I had walked a little faster and not concentrating on not getting run over by that lorry so I could have met him before he went in. Oh, now he's already inside. Oh, bugger. Oh well, adieu my little Vimal.... and I walked to the bus stop bouncing to Outlandish (am totally addicted to Someday)...

La vie, les attirants, les mecs, les boys, l'amour... sigh....

AND I just remembered that he forgot to give me the three print-outs of the jobs that we printed out! ARGH!

I reminded him last time, had to go back to collect them. Aur hum dono flirting kar ke bhool gaye iss dafa.

Bahahahahaha!

Should I go back on Monday, I wonder? *wiggles eyebrows*

The parents

Your Type Four EnneaThought for January 13th— Reflect on your childhood today. As a child, did you believe you were not like your parents? Did you feel that you were not "seen" by your parents and that you did not connect sufficiently with your parents? As an adult, what does this have to do with you now? (The Wisdom of the Enneagram, 182) As I've said myriad times before, these things just slap me in the face with a wet fish most days. I suppose it makes sense that I should send Reiki healing to my relationships with my father and my mother. Haven't really done that for ages. It's too hard sometimes, I choose to ignore and avoid dealing with them mainly because these are the two people I've been connected with since birth. A lot of effort is required in order to 'let things slide'. Living with my dad is hell, and I'm co-creating it on purpose, as part of my desire to annoy, to hurt him the way he hurts me. My mum, well, I guess we'...

Je dois écrire

Je dois écrire . L'ironie est que quand j'avais le temps, je na'i pu pas fair rien . Doesn't matter, I have to write. I keep listening to poets like Keane and Travis and Darren Hayes and I'm here, with the creativity finally bursting forth again, and what's more, the joie de vivre bursting through and I'm not writing and I'm not taking pictures and I'm doing bloody cashier work at Oxfam. I am a swan, I am a seagull that glides and glides. I am the tree, the squirrel. Words are all I have to make myself different from you lot. To make myself lighter, somewhat more worthy. How low is my self esteem that I still believe those falsehoods. I just cannot find people on my wave length. It means I never shall. Or I do and because of my skin colour or because I am behind the Oxfam counter, or because I am in Morden, or London, or the UK, I shall never know. An opera singer. A person who wants to wear kurtis but is scared of going into a desi shop i...

Judgement

Tarot Card Interpretation & Meaning - (20) Judgment Introduction: Judgment can be a card about jumping to conclusions, decisions and judgments. which are too hastily made. If you are prone to such things, this is a clear signal to slow down and give things more thought and to give people "more chances." This can be a real time of spiritual awakening.           General: In general, if you are the one tending to jump to conclusions, you can put a stop to it. If others are making these kinds of decisions about you or about someone you care for, there is really very little you can do, apart from realizing that it's their problem, not yours. Health: This is an important time to let go of the past and any wrongs that you perceive were done to you, particularly if you are dealing with chronic medical issues. Letting go of your need to be right will go a long way toward helping you to feel better. Besides, if ...
