None of the short story beginnings I have written so far have captured my passion or interest. They are too bogged down in my own autobiography. It's a pain in the arse to have to write about mental illness and divorce and second marriages. The real Sukaina wouldn't write about that junk. It's already fact, it already happened. And it made me feel like crap. And if i can't stand to write it, I'm not going to bear reading it the first time, let alone again and again. But there are many short stories I've read that I'd love to read again and again. And I remember them like crystal in my head.
More than just the disease
The Golden Cadillac
The Kookuburra
Now if I could just find my Global Tales anthology, I'd be able to give you the proper titles.
Regarding Adam Lambert from American Idol, I just do NOT understand why people are banging on about his blatant homosexuality and promiscuity. That's completely irrelevant and, furthermore, expected from artisans in general. That's just how they choose to live. And the guardians want to kill him at the stake, as usual. Because of their complete denial of their own bisexuality... Jesus. When will we stop imposing ourselves on others, none of God's chosen ones really imposed anything on anyone. Imposition never really sticks. "I am just the messenger, baaqi tumhaari marzi" was what their message was. Our generation is not that of 1400 years ago. It just isn't.
This is why I still say I will choose not to be a parent. At least when I still have this learned and imbibed black and white thinking and perfectionist and Pygmalion tendencies. I refuse to unleash all my insecurities and doubts and frustrations onto a helpless little soul who couldn't help it. No way. I do that enough with the people already in my life.
He's already a star... I love his slow songs: Mad World and Tracks of my Tears. I don't like hard rock as a rule, so... and the best things as someone wrote somewhere, by not winning the competition, he is no longer owned by American Idol so he can do as he wishes.... he's physically so beautiful, though. Ahhh... God must have spent a little more time on him... :)
