"Life isn't about keeping score. It's not about how many people call you and it's not about who you've dated, are dating or haven't dated at all. It isn't about who you've kissed, what sport you play, or which guy or girl likes you. It's not about your shoes or your hair or the color of your skin or where you live or go to school. In fact, it's not about grades, money, clothes, or colleges that accept you or not. Life isn't about if you have lots of friends, or if you're alone, and it's not about how accepted or unaccepted you are. Life just isn't about that.
But life is about who you love and who you hurt. It's about how you feel about yourself. It's about trust, happiness and compassion. It's about sticking up for your friends and replacing inner hate with love. Life is about avoiding jealousy, overcoming ignorance and building confidence. It's about what you say and what you mean. It's about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. Most of all, it is about choosing to use your life to touch someone else's in a way that could never have been achieved otherwise. These choices are what life's about."
"I sought my soul
But my soul I could not see.
I sought my God
But my God eluded me.
I sought my brother
And I found all three."

"We will find our right to be.
Until then, lilacs bloom every spring."

All are taken from "Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul". I must get the one for the Woman's Soul. Need to graduate, ten years on.
There's a lot of crazy, whimsical and confounding bullshit I can write about if I allow myself. But I will not. Grass is a mixture of green and brown, alive and dead and weeds, all different types of weeds. I will still wake in the morning, the God-forsaken cold morning, look at the cracked mirrors which I am so ashamed of and see myself with dry, scaling skin, trying to put a smile on my face for the days I am stuck at home, hardly off-set by the one day a week I am in a classroom on a plastic chair, next to a river they liken to those in Venice. I just can't face the people. Ten years on, perhaps. Not this year, nor next.
I won't see the sun.
I won't hear crickets in the night and see butterflies in the day.
