... is still evil. (Some guy on Youtube)
(The former title for this post was The Namesake, but after more information and contemplation, it wasn't the right one.)
Hussein has won... the US Presidential election. Now what?
I am sure damned GLAD McCain didn't win. Even though I can't bring myself to trust any person in the position of head of state.
Alhamdulillah wa astakheerullah.
Allah, he has the name of your beloved. Let him follow the footsteps of your beloved. Not all American politicians are bad, are they? Well, just admit he is the lesser of the two evils. That's all that I am willing to give him. The lesser of two evils. Compared to Yazid and Muawiya, he is Muawiya. Nice analogy. But was Yazid more dangerous than Muawiya or was Muawiya more sly? I forget. OK, maybe I need to come up with a better analogy.

So, being named Baraka or Hussein means nothing. How many people there are named Abdullah or Mohammad or Ali or Mahdi have caused such chaos in the world, whereas certain people called Muawiya (the 2nd) and Uthman (Imam Mahdi's second (or fourth?) representative) have done great services to the Ahlul Bayt?
What's in a name? Means nothing. So forget that stupid prattling of "he has the name of your beloved" - hmph. He's a bloody politician. End of story. Not to be trusted. Is going to bomb Pakistan and supports Israel fully. Is also an atheist.
By observing the UK, the completely ignored Canadian and the overblown US elections, I have come to a decision. I will never vote in my life. Having the so-called 'right' to vote doesn't mean I have to exercise the right.
It's a hypocrisy. This democracy thing is taken from the ancient Greeks. Pagans who refused to believe in a God. Why on Earth would I want to take part in something like that? Even though I've heard that Muslims should vote blah blah, I hate all the candidates. Who are they? Labour, Conservative, Lib Dems and the Respect party. None of them are worth leading me or making policies for me. It's "making the best of bad government"? Nah, you can't get me on that, either.
And the one person who is worthy, will never be elected. He is chosen from Allah and is biding his time. I mean, if I was Iranian, maybe I'd vote. Because, as far as I can tell, Khamenei was not voted in, he was selected by other Hujjatul Islam, right? And Ahmedinejad is humble enough to wear normal clothes and drive a normal car and at least, I think he may consider himself as caretaker rather than in absolute control. Though I know jack about Irani politics.
Well, since I'm not Persian, ça n'arrivera jamais.
Here is a non-voter, anarchist and proud of it!

Another correction about politicians. They are all the bloody same. I don't care if they are Shia and are Persian. They are all the same. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Even extremely diluted power has the means of corrupting absolutely.
BAH!
