Revisiting the 90s is FUN!

I'm listening to all those old boy band songs from the 90s. Some of their dance moves are hilarious. The lyrics are fucking classic...

'Can we taaalk for a minute/ Girl I want to know your name' (Code Red).

It's always these stupid romance songs that all girls love and we train ourselves into this rot.

Apparently, life is tough. S is taking a course in Melbourne that isn't even the one she wanted. But then again, she isn't me and I am not her. I wanted to go to visit her over there. Unfortunately, the ticket costs £600. I'm such a fucking romantic. The most impractical person I know. I think that's why Diana actually got married to Charles, because she wanted to become a princess and thought that it would be a 'fairytale'. Why else would she marry someone 13-15 years her senior, with a mistress? Or whatever....

Now listening to 'Tearin' Up My Heart' by *NSYNC. Reminds me of A, every time. That was some crush I had on him. I think I like throwing toilet rolls. I remember being in the bathroom once and throwing one against the bathroom door in frustration because of my 'unrequited love'. At least toilet rolls don't break things...!

Auntie S rang today and said to come with her to Tesco. I think my father must have insisted she take me. It's not like she really wanted to. I need to have a talk with him. He can't do this; no matter what shit I end up doing.

However, I saw the most hilarious calendar there for £5. Made me chuckle, but I won't be buying it. Five quid, man. I have such a warped idea of prices and values. Because I don't earn my way in this world. I thought £400 was okay for a one-way ticket to Toronto four years ago. Now a £600 return to Melbourne looks heck expensive to me now. Oh well. For a holiday, it sure is.

Nothing else to say. My father has just returned home and we are fighting again.

By the way, for the record, I haven't been into Oxfam this week. I rang yesterday and told Christian (née Isa - go figure) that I won't be there till December and before Christmas. I have just died. I am in serious withdrawal mode and am doing a successful job of rubbing myself out completely. Soon, there shall be no Sukaina left. Deconstructing Skye. I hate Woody Allen's films, but at least this idea has some merit in it.

It's 9:30 pm and I have been basically perusing all of Darren Hayes's songs. He's really the only artist (well, apart from Keane) that I've liked almost ALL of his songs. Wooo.....Travis, I like most, but not all. I am so happy right now because he's a Rat like me (Chinese horoscope) although he's Water Rat and I'm Wood Rat. I think it's a good thing he's gay. I'd be completely smitten with him if he were straight. God, so many girls are just mad for him. I never was. I just liked their songs at age 16. But now I've glimpsed his soul, it's a whole other thing. I think he's an ESFP. I wonder if he really is. Could be an ENFP. Definitely an E :) Sweet dreams of him tonight ;)

The parents

Your Type Four EnneaThought for January 13th— Reflect on your childhood today. As a child, did you believe you were not like your parents? Did you feel that you were not "seen" by your parents and that you did not connect sufficiently with your parents? As an adult, what does this have to do with you now? (The Wisdom of the Enneagram, 182) As I've said myriad times before, these things just slap me in the face with a wet fish most days. I suppose it makes sense that I should send Reiki healing to my relationships with my father and my mother. Haven't really done that for ages. It's too hard sometimes, I choose to ignore and avoid dealing with them mainly because these are the two people I've been connected with since birth. A lot of effort is required in order to 'let things slide'. Living with my dad is hell, and I'm co-creating it on purpose, as part of my desire to annoy, to hurt him the way he hurts me. My mum, well, I guess we'...

Je dois écrire

Je dois écrire . L'ironie est que quand j'avais le temps, je na'i pu pas fair rien . Doesn't matter, I have to write. I keep listening to poets like Keane and Travis and Darren Hayes and I'm here, with the creativity finally bursting forth again, and what's more, the joie de vivre bursting through and I'm not writing and I'm not taking pictures and I'm doing bloody cashier work at Oxfam. I am a swan, I am a seagull that glides and glides. I am the tree, the squirrel. Words are all I have to make myself different from you lot. To make myself lighter, somewhat more worthy. How low is my self esteem that I still believe those falsehoods. I just cannot find people on my wave length. It means I never shall. Or I do and because of my skin colour or because I am behind the Oxfam counter, or because I am in Morden, or London, or the UK, I shall never know. An opera singer. A person who wants to wear kurtis but is scared of going into a desi shop i...

Judgement

Tarot Card Interpretation & Meaning - (20) Judgment Introduction: Judgment can be a card about jumping to conclusions, decisions and judgments. which are too hastily made. If you are prone to such things, this is a clear signal to slow down and give things more thought and to give people "more chances." This can be a real time of spiritual awakening.           General: In general, if you are the one tending to jump to conclusions, you can put a stop to it. If others are making these kinds of decisions about you or about someone you care for, there is really very little you can do, apart from realizing that it's their problem, not yours. Health: This is an important time to let go of the past and any wrongs that you perceive were done to you, particularly if you are dealing with chronic medical issues. Letting go of your need to be right will go a long way toward helping you to feel better. Besides, if ...
